The Infamous Greater Rhacodactylus Trachyrhynchus trachyrhynchus a.k.a the greater rough snouted gecko!!! This is one of the rarest geckos in captivity, it is native to New Caledonia, and is unique in that it is one of a few gecko species to bear live young! Special thanks to Steve Cemelli (leapin' leachies) for the pics of these animals they are truly special geckos. This gecko is slightly different from it's close relative the lesser rough snouted gecko the Rhacodacylus Trachyrhynchus trachycephalus which is also an awesome gecko and will most likely be part of the furture countdown!!!
